This ancient temple dedicated to Lord Narsingh, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, is one of the most revered religious sites in the region.
Established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya, this math (monastery) is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. It also offers a stunning view of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Auli is a popular skiing destination and is only about 14 kilometers from Joshimath. It offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and is surrounded by oak and coniferous forests.
Although not exactly in Joshimath, the Valley of Flowers National Park is nearby and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is renowned for its diverse flora, including many rare and endangered species.
A beautiful meadow located near Auli, Gorson Bugyal offers stunning views of the Himalayas. It's a great place for trekking and nature walks.
